New Lighting Control Products

(Basler lighting control for maximum flexibility)

Basler has now made its own SLP feature available on most cameras, including the Ace 2, Boost R, Ace U and Ace L models. The combination of an SLP-equipped camera and Basler's SLP controller allows for easy integration of lighting into the vision system using the pylon software.

Basler SLP controllers are available in two versions: either already integrated in the lighting or as an external controller. The SLP feature allows the lights to be used in different modes, including continuous lighting, flash, and overdrive (higher light intensity operation).

Basler is also expanding its portfolio with two new cost-effective lighting controllers. Basler Standard controllers are available with two or four channels.

This means that a single controller can control up to four lighting systems in a single application, reducing costs. With the new Basler Lighting Controllers, lighting can be switched to continuous mode or triggered synchronously with the camera. Lighting control can be set either manually or, in the case of the 4-channel controller, via a web interface.

The new lighting controllers have already been added to Basler Illumination Advisor. This is a free online tool recommended for use in the early stages of development to help you select the lighting components that will fit your system. It guides users step-by-step through the process of selecting products to suit their needs, saving customers considerable time.
